GB:
GB, gigabyte is 2 to the 30th power (1,073,741,824) bytes. One gigabyte is equal to 1,024 megabytes. This is just over one billion bytes, simple mathematics if you get your head around it.

GIF:
GIF, Graphics Interchange Format is a bitmap image format, that supports 256 color and is commonly used for Web images because they compress well. They can also be used for small animations and low-resolution film clips.

GNU:
GNU Project, was launched in 1984 as a free system. Linux, released in 1991, is part of the GNU system and is the kernel of the GNU operating system, a complete Unix-like operating system which is free software. Correctly the name is GNU/Linux “software which respects your freedom”.

GUI:
GUI, Graphical User Interfaces is using the computers graphical capabilities to serve the user better. Interfaces such as desktop icons, browser tabs, open, minimize and close commands act as widgets and are made capable by the application of GUI.
